Total Station Technology

ProWay Livestock Equipment use total station technology to accurately survey existing site features in 3 dimensions. This information is downloaded and converted in graphic form, creating a digital map of the location. This allows us to incorporate existing structures, roadways, shade trees, power poles etc. into designs with precision (the total station is accurate + or – 3mm over 250m). This ensures that existing site features are utilised effectively to complement the design.

Once the design process has been completed, design information is uploaded onto the total station for laying out livestock handling facilities. Accurate site preparation information ensures that earthworks can be budgeted for and completed efficiently. Use of the total station also ensures that post holes and footings are in the right spot and that there is no guess work; clients can be confident that the design will fit the site.
