Did You Know?

ProWay prides itself on the amount of steel they put into their product. Products are designed to provide years of use.

Construction Contractors

ProWay work with regular contractors to erect their yard systems on site.

Because we construct around 200 sets of yards per year, from Northern Queensland to Western South Australia we use local, trained contractors.

With the growth in our business we are always on the look out for potential contractors.

We need installers who can undertake work as a genuine contractor.

This involves;

  • Having your own vehicle and tools. Tools include welder generators, grinders, rattle gun and concreting tools.
  • Having a business structure that allows you to invoice us. We strongly prefer out contractors to be incorporated.
  • Having your own public liability and workers compensation cover.
  • Being responsible for your own payroll obligations.

Ideally it takes 2 to 3 people to install yards. More of our yard systems today involve roof structures of some type. Contractors need to be comfortable constructing these.

ProWay staff mark out the design before the contractors gets to site.

Digging of holes can be undertaken by the contractor if he is suitably equipped. More often a local bobcat operator is engaged, or the customer digs their own.

Yards are stood in position, and bolted up. Ready-mix concrete is then poured to secure the yards. Some slab work is involved in most yards. This is normally given a hatched finish in livestock areas and a broom finish in access areas. Although not to domestic standards of finish, concreting needs to be tidy and functional with suitable sloping to drain water as required.

Payment is a lump sum per job. The lump sum is an amount we calculate based on the size and complexity of the yards. This formula has proven over time to be profitable for well organized contractors.

We pay 7 days after invoicing and sign off forms are submitted.

ProWay put an effort into training our contractors. All contractors are supervised for their first job. They are provided with standard drawings, and quality check off sheets to prevent mistakes.

Having good contractors is important to our business. They are critical to us having happy customers who then become an advocate for our business.

We like to have long term relationships with quality contractors.

Being a ProWay contractor makes sense for existing rural contractors.

We supply all materials, so outgoings are minimized. Jobs are in neat 2 or 3 week blocks, so you aren’t bogged down for months on single jobs. Payment is rapid and guaranteed by us.

You aren’t tied down quoting and chasing work so all your time and efforts can be spent productively.

Please call us if you are interested in pursuing the opportunity.
